Hey guys and gals!
Jeez, has it really been since Thanksgiving? yeah, I can believe that.

So, Thing's I've done so far this summer-- and I apologize for the bad grammar and runon sentences:

Moved back in with parents on Sunday(may 4th), got a call on Monday from family friend "Hey come work for me! It'll only be for a couple of weeks, just till the end of the month! Come to work tomorrow!" So I did. And found out that I really don't ever want to work with a trucking company. I hate phones now. And staples. My job was to two-fold: I had to answer the phone and tell whoever that our dispatchers were busy and on another phonecall- which they inevitably were- and to put them on hold or get a message; and I had to open the truck driver's paperwork and sort out all the different trips, and then take all of the staples out. Yes my job was glorified staple remover. And paper scanner after I took the staples out. and then I had to get the old paperwork and look it up on the software system to see if the trip had been billed to the customer yet. Ugh. Boring. But it was earning me spending money for Ireland-- or so I thought.

I talked to my grandparents about the no-interest loan they had said they would give me. And I told them about how much I would need to start me off this semester- 4K-- because I have absolutely no savings, now. So they said they could do that, but not the loan and Ireland. So I told them I would rather have school. :( so no Ireland this summer. But now I'll have more money to start off the schoolyear with.

And I spent some of it to go buy hay bales-- yes, I said haybales. I set up my archery range again! YAY! It's a lot of fun! But, man my arm is not up to the amount of arrows that I used to shoot. I used to shoot about a dozen sets of 9 arrows at a time. Yes, that's over one hundred arrows. but I have a bunch of holes in my feathers because I kept shooting so close together-- this was a couple of years ago, mind you. So now I've been shooting sets of 6 arrows. And my arm can only hold up for about 6-8 sets. and then the aiming kindof goes a little out of whack.

Went to the Renaissance festival. got some handblown glass, and some pretty fans.

Reading: OMG! I actually have time to read! so I have. What more can I say?

Walking: Been doing walks around the neighborhood. 2 laps around makes about 3miles, and that's what I've been doing. I try to go in the evenings, but I may have to wait till it gets dark or go in the mornin. It's starting to feel like summertime.

Dad got a wireless router, so we set that up and I now have internet in my room! :D Which means I may actually check email and fbook more regularly.
Right... like anyone believes that.

Elizabeth said she wanted to make a small bookcase, so she may come down to do that sometime. And Dad and I have to make Matt one because I'll be taking his old one-- it matches mine.

Still haven't ordered any leather for moccassins or boots.
Still haven't started painting. or doing jewelry with mom. or gone to grandparents house.

Have started taking care of the lawn and started deep cleaning the house.
Did buy new bamboo themed showercurtain, rug, and towels. my bathroom looks better now. and I can take it with me when I get an apartment!

Yeah, that's about all I've done so far this summer.
Maybe I'll update again sometime soon. but don't hold your breath. You might turn blue.

Hello to all the citizens of cyberspace,

Well, I know that I fail miserably at updating my journal... either the electronic or the paper one...

But I decided that I was going to procrastinate and update while procrastinating. What am I procrastinating you might ask... Why, Japanese and Comparative Literature, of course... I have no life...

So on Wednesday I did nothing but read, do my laundry, and cook peanutbutter cookies, brownies, and a chocolate chip cookie cake. On Thursday, I went to my future Aunt-in-law's place and had Thanksgiving dinner there. I ate a ton of food, tried a bunch of things that I did not think I would like, but did... And then I came home and read, took a nap, and then painted a little bit...

I got up early this morning to attend Black Friday, yes, I was that dumb... But there was a 500Gigabyte external harddrive that was on sale for cheap and I wanted it really bad... So I went to Target, the line was UNbelievable... I couldn't get into the store for about 15 minutes after it opened just because of the line! But I got a bunch of good sales and got home by 8:15 in the morning. Then I painted some more, ate leftovers, and set up the Christmas tree.

I still have to do the workbook pages for JPNS, and read a book, then do the outline for my final paper...

Well, I hope everyone else is having a wonderful break and I will update more at some other point.

Okay, first off... Hayley update-- she's sick. some sort of virus that keeps making her upchuck her cookies. In addition, she passed out. again. Her dad took her to the doc 'cause she kept throwing up... they did tests, gave her stuff and told her to go home... she passed out in the parking lot... more tests, more meds, same old go home... Did okay... for a while... Platts had to take her to the ER 'cause she kept upchucking and got dehydrated. Called today and seems to be doing okay. So that's the Hayley update...

Went up to see Hartwell, the home of my future sister-in-law... beautiful! gorgeous lake! nice church... ity bity town. cute though.

Will be going to JAX, FL for the weekend, see the relatives, all that jazz! Hoodalali!

I'm still here... sorta... reread the entirity of Fruits Basket. in 3 days. on my computer. yeah. I know.... its pathetic.

When can we go back to school?

Courtney wants to go to some spa where they give 25 and 30 buck manicures or pedicures. And then go out to a nice restaurant... Umm... Restaurant I'm Ok with...Spa... not so much. *Angst*

Oh, well.

I gave my dad the first season of M*A*S*H* for fathers day.

I got a few new bras...yay! I needed them.

Okey...Everyone please pay attention!

I need help. Since I get stuck with the dinner duty most of the week... and I've been doing it since I've been home... I've pretty much run out of ideas. That's where YOU come in. Yes, YOU!

I need ideas of things that are relatively easy to cook for dinner-- and how to cook them if it doesn't come in a package with instructions. In return...I will post some of my dinner menus-- and how to cook them...

First: Julianne's Twist on Beef Stroganoff- or however the hell you spell it.

There are two ways that you can do this...
You can get a package of the egg noodles/bowties/elbows/shells... and boil however much you need for your family. In a separate pot... Southern Mills Cheese mix... follow the instructions on the package... and a handful or so of already cooked ground beef stirred into the cheese sauce. Open a can of green beans or some veggie that you desire... serve... ladleing however much of the cheese sauce with beef in it that each diner desires...
OR... a Mac&Cheese box with the ground beef added as a last step before you serve.

I haven't actually tried the mac&cheese, but it should be okay.


So...hit your moms and dads up for easy dinner menus... PLEASE!


Okay...In other news... I got nothing. Besides that I've installed a music recorder and converter onto my computer and am stealing all of the music that I want off of the AMV's that I've downloaded. And the program is one that I can put the exe file on a jumpdrive and give to whoever when I get back to campus.... ;) I like me.... but I'm so bad sometimes!


Oh, yeah...Brother Update: You know how he was going to live off campus this year in an apartment with some of the other guys? He brought home a paper for my parents to sign... something that would make them liable for any payments should he not be able to make them... And.... He informed my Dad that the deposit- that he hasn't paid yet- was due MONTHS ago. WTF?? And he thinks he's ready to get married and all that jazz... He can't even make himself go to class... *sigh*

Still walking... still playing the computer... still cooking... still BORED OUT OF MY EVER LOVIN' MIND!!!!!

Bought: 2 pairs of pants, Microsoft Home/Office Student Edition, Collection of Classic Cartoon Episodes, Few new tank tops--summer is definitly here.

Wants: ears pierced...again, flatpanel moniter, tv, all kinds of music, all kinds of anime and manga.

But the wants are going to have to wait. like forever and a half.

So...Sarah, Hannah, Lee, Rejon, when do you girls get off time or a free weekend? Sometime in July? Ummm...I'm bored.

Erin...love the pictures of the deer! now I want a baby deer! Cool shrines, too.

Hayley! Wazup? Are you having enough time to study in between sightseeing?

Hello All,
I decided to chance it on the dialup from home so that I could do some updating.

So I went to the interview for gamestop today... I think it went pretty well. I mean, I was 3 minutes late-- cause I thought the interviews would be at the STORE, but no... what the mumbler on the phone failed to tell me was that it was in the upstairs lobby of the GREAT ESCAPE THEATRE... which is a couple of miles away. So I hopped in the truck with dad and booked it over to the theater, where I made it in time... they were waiting to make sure that everyone who was coming would show up...including the managers...So I made it in time.

I've been keeping a log of the books that I've been reading. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Murder Mystery, Westerns, and Trasy Romances. YAY FOR TRASHY ROMANCES!!!!! Anyone who doubts the entertainment value of romances, SHAME ON YOU! You just haven't been reading the right ones. :D So far I've read 38. yes, 38 Books.

I did not get a walk today...So I'm antsy.

Still no free money from FAFSA... Still no checks from the Dining Hall... *sigh*

I called Rejon today...I was feeling the Hermityness.

OKEY, well...I think I will go... watch TV or somethin'

Wazzup? I've been bored. I've walked, played the computer, baked brownies, cooked several dinners, bought new music, rocked out, seen my brother and future sister for all of part of a day, gone through family photo albums, consented to be a bridesmaid-for next year-, checked my email, applied for jobs, checked on award money-not there yet- and have managed to read a couple of books since I last updated. and I still feel like I'm bored.

1) I used to hate to read by myself. Now you can't get me to stop!

2)I am double jointed in my elbows...but not my fingers, which is where everyone else who is NORMAL has their doublejointedness.

3)My best dreams include water and forests...my worst ones involve aliens on the school playground, which turns to quicksand. yeah. that's right. aliens.

4) I like big dogs, but am terrified of the hyperactive, yappy evil tiny dogs...Except I've gotten used to the ones who I've been around for years.

5) I can't stand to have my toenails unpainted. And they have to be painted some weird color...not just pink or red or normal polish colors...I'm talkin' greens, blues, purples, and silvery-holographic. Hells yes!

6) I'm a sick and twisted gal...well, y'all probably already knew that... But even though I like to laugh and make jokes...half the time I don't get the jokes that other people are telling, I just laugh in the moment and because I laugh when I get nervous.

7) I hate scary movies...but not for the monsters and blood and guts... for the things and people popping out at you all of the sudden.

8)I like animals, but I like the big predators.. preditors.. predetors.. crap, I can't spell.. better than the tape and the prey. Just something about a big badass creature with a mouthfull of teeth...

9) Damn...After living with my weirdness for 20yrs you'd think that I could come up with some more stuff... Okay... I rode all the way across the country--well, from Utah to GA-- in three days when I was 8. We lived there for 2 years. Lots of mormons. The choir was cool, though.

10)Ummm...Can I just go with 9 things about myself? No? Okay... From 3rd grade until college, every other year-the odd grade--I would despise one of my teachers and tend to not do work for them, and my grades would slip a little. 3rd: Ms Lee 5th:Science teacher whose name I don't remember 7th: Ms Emanuel 9th: Mr Cool 11th:Shernekau

So...That enough weird stuff for the moment?

Erin is sitting with me in my Dorm room b/c Akira sensei let us out early. We didn't have our test--cause he forgot.

Okay, so I'm sudsing up my hair in the shower and thinking about a million things-- 'cause really, who really pays attention when they're washing?--anywho...sudsing and daydreaming. Thinking about tacky prom nite. Thinking that I'll ask JM to go/show up.

thinking--they have balloon artist...I want a monkey...I'm going to get a monkey balloon. thinking---I think they have fortune tellers...what if they are really accurate? So I think, they'll probably tell me that I'm going to meet someone who's tall, dark, and handsome? But what if they were right? So this conversation with the imaginary fortune teller continues--who's wearing a lot of scarves and bangles and rings in my head by the way-- and I say, I've already kinda got one of those, and point to JM, who is standing over to the side, the jingly lady shakes her head and says, "not him." Just then I hear--still in my head-- "Hey, Julianne" So I turn away from the fortune teller lady to see....

Kippy, one of the boys from my neigborhood that moved to N/S Carolina--not sure which, think North--So I say hi, give hugs, remark on how tall he's gotten. I haven't seen the guy since he moved, but Matthew says he's about six feet now. All of this is still in my head ya'know! So we start talking, I briefly introduce JM, Erin-swan, Rejon-san, and Saru-chan, who were all standing nearby...Small talk about school, jobs, movies, friends, etc...Then he asked if I wanted to go get coffee at two in the morning and I said sure, looked around and JM wasn't there anymore.

That's when I realized what my brain had done...daydreamed an entire episode that could not possibly happen because Kippy is currently in N/S Carolina-whichever. This also confirmed my thoughts that, while I like JM, definitly not THE ONE. Not gonna be spending the rest of my life with this guy. but Kippy? c'mon, couldn't you have picked somebody hotter, Brain o mine? Jeez...

Saru-chan? How was coffee with Hannah 2.0?

Yay! This story is kinda funny, so sit back and prepare to be entertained...

I went by snelling today to 1)get my paycheck and 2)find Jon Michael to get the details about the party. So I nabbed my paycheck and say hi to Hannah--short hair hannah--and ask if she knows where JM was working. Apparently, JM was on break! She went with me-she was on tables, so could wander anywhere, and sat down at the table so that I wouldn't be the only girl at the table. Matteo, Scott, JM, Bob, and Chris? were all at the table, carrying on conversations, so I couldn't just interrupt. Anywho...JM asks if I was going to the party...I say I need more details...Scott says.. "It's in building 100 of River mills"...I ask what time he expects people to start showing up... "8ish, 9ish, 10ish"... Okey then...

So Rejon was nice enough to go with me while we tried to find this party. We thought that we would be able to locate it by the noise, right...NO!!! We wandered around bldg 100, found my drunk/high RA, but not Scott's Party. Rejon and I head back to the dorm room where my suitemate helped us look up Scott on facebook to find the room#. Once we found the room#, we asked if Ashley wanted to go with us, and she did. She drove us back over to the apartment complex...and we found the room.

Jon Michael had been the first to show up, we had been the second. We sat around and talked for about 5 minutes before slowly, one or two people started showing up at a time. Scott had actually gone out for the cups--so they had beer, but no cups. My crazy I-Have-to-get-married-as-soon-as-possible friend Jessica called. I told her that I was at a party and would call her tomorrow. At first, it only seemed like snelling people were showing up, but once the cups got to the apartment, everyone seemed to start showing up at once.

JM and I tried to keep a conversation going amongst ourselves and whoever came up to talk with us. We kept inching back out of the crowd, and eventually we went outside where the beer-pong table was(less people there). I kept talking to him and everyonce in a while Ashley would come up and talk for a minute. Then I realized that Rejon was in the apartment, sitting by herself....I feel so bad. GOMENASAI!!!!!!!! I brought Rejon out so that we could have group conversations...and we did. We started talking about comics and movies. So...to make this story slightly shorter...

I'm going with JM to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Saturday-now today- night.
YAY!

And he left when we did, which was about midnight or so.

I'm so excited!

So, Today was a bit weird on the guy front...

I saw Jon Michael--yes, two names--at work today. He's really nice and kinda cute. And He's fun to talk to. At first he was running the dishes, so I said he would see me in pizza when he came around to fill up the plates. Then, five minutes or so after my shift starts, Betty from pizza says she feels sick and needs to go home. The red/black shirts then had to put someone else in pizza, and who do they pull in but Jon Michael. :D

I got to talk to him for most of the three hours that he had left on his shift. We talked about Japanese--He has Fuu-san. Computers--he has a desktop, too--And video games and movies entered into our conversation. He asked me if I had seen "300" yet, and I didn't even pause but started in on how great of a movie it was. He's going to see it on Thursday night. But while we were working, all I kept thinking was, "Does he have a girlfriend?" I really thought about asking Courtney and Danielle if they had boyfriends just so that I could ask J.M. if he had a girl. I chickened out.
I didn't ask him.

When J.M. got off at 3:00, he hung around and apparently, one of the other workers-Scott- is giving a party in his apartment. J.M. came over to tell me that I should come. It's on Friday, in the Rivermills apartments, which just happens to be behind the parking lot across the street from Reed Dorm.

So, when dinner break rolls around, I told Hannah what had happened and asked her if she knew whether or not he had a girlfriend. She didn't know so she asked Kaitlin and Yelena. The opinion of those consulted is that he doesn't have one. They also told the oblivious me that J.M. might have been trying to get me to go to the movies with him. Now I'm thinking that I really want to go to this party. But I don't really want to go by myself, so I'm planning to find out when it is and in which apartment, but perhaps one of you-- Saru-chan, Erin-swan, Rejon-san, Hannah-chan--might be willing to go with me?

OK, well, I think that's enough spazzing for the moment. *snicker* I just thought of something. If we do hook up, we both have double names! How weird is that??

By the way...I've never chased anyone, asked anyone out, or been asked out. Any advice for dealing with this would be greatly appreciated.
